색채가 만들어내는 감각적 울림
나는 물레 성형된 흙에 색을 겹 바르고 그 위에 도구의 진동 효과가 만들어내는 작은 점을 새긴다. 표면 가득 메워진 무수히 많은 작은 점들의 집합체는 한 덩어리의 흙을 통해 마음속 형상을 구체화하고자 하는 나의 바람과 그것을 향한 간절함 만큼의 떨림과 긴장이 뒤섞인 시간을 시각화한다. 이 시간의 흔적은 소결 과정을 거쳐 암석화되며 영구적으로 각인된다. 이후 최종적으로 연삭, 연마 과정을 통해 드러나는 유영하는 빛과 색채, 질감이 조화를 이루며 나와 흙의 긴밀한 시간은 고유의 정서를 가진 견고한 물질로서 보이고 만져진다.

A own wave pattern on the ceramic
I paint another color soils on the surface and fill the smooth surface with particles produced by vibration. the repeated particles form a unique pattern on the surface. Pattern waves resemble a part of nature, like rivers and grass swaying in the wind. After firing, I grind the surface of the ceramic while observing the harmony of the shape and texture of the ceramic. The Finished porcelain has its own wave pattern of color.
